Ripon makes quick work of Orestimba

Ripon High did away with Orestimba with relative ease, trouncing Orestimba in a 25-18, 25-10 and 25-20 clean sweep Tuesday in Trans Valley League action

Paige Goodger played a major roll for the Indians, providing five kills, three blocks and aces and a game-high nine digs. Chelsea Ioppini and Kristen Carhart dominated at the net for the Indians, combining for 13 kills and four blocks.

“Chelsea and Kristen really lead our team tonight,” Ripon head coach Adrienne Uecker said. “They were tough in the middle and aggressive at the net.

“They both were very smart with their attacks.”

Ripon also got strong play from Lizzy Nizzoli (13 assists, three aces), Danny Arteaga (eight digs), and Jordan Richter (10 assists, six digs).

Ripon continues its recent home-stand Thursday when they host the Hilmar Yellowjackets in TVL play. Action is set to begin at 6 p.m.

The Ripon sophomore team was victorious over Orestimba in three as well.
