Ripon came up short on the road against Orestimba Newman on Wednesday and failed to record any RBIs during its fourth Trans Valley League loss.

Caleb Rogers threw a six hitter but gave up a run in both the fourth and fifth inning as Orestimba knocked off the visiting Indians, 2-0.

Ripon wasn’t able to plate any runs during a loss that dropped it to 5-4 in the Trans Valley League, 13-10 overall. Ripon only had four hits (Josh Clark, Michael Ysit, Fotios Jordanoglou and freshman Nick Price). Rogers threw five strikeouts with one walk and still boasts a 1.17 ERA.

The Indians’ next TVL matchup will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Orestimba (6-3 TVL, 13-6 overall).
