Sienna Starck led a contingent of Ripon golfers in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division V Tournament Monday.

The Ripon High junior, who also celebrated her 16th birthday, carded a 15-over 97 for a ninth-place overall finish at Greenhorn Creek Golf Resort in Angels Camp. She was one of three Indians to qualify for the event, while Ripon Christian was able to field its full starting roster.

Ripon Christian placed fifth with a team score of 675. Senior standout Jenny Wickham ended her career with a 110. Vanessa Vallo (122), Stacie Darretta (130), Kaitlyn Groshong (138) and Robyn Reyes (175) also contributed for RC.

Ripon junior Hailey Rae Rose scored a 119 and sophomore Erin Wever finished with a 152. They, along with Starck, could give Ripon a formidable team next season because of Monday’s postseason experience.

West Campus of the Sacramento won the tournament with a 523 and will advance to the SJS Masters Tournament set for next Monday, Oct. 29 at The Reserve at Spanos Park. Ripon and RC’s Valley Foothill League rivals Escalon (553) and Bret Harte (579) finished 2 and 3. Hughson’s April Chang was low medalist with an 82. She will join Woodland Christian’s Abby McGrew (84) and Esther Rojas (89) of Turlock Christian at Masters through individual berths.
