When you get the chance to put all of your sophomores onto the floor at the same time in a varsity game, it usually says something about how the game is going.

And on Tuesday night in Hughson, it meant that the Ripon Indians (8-1, 15-9) were well on their way to a 74-30 Trans Valley League victory to keep them fresh as they gear up for a three-game run that includes two of the toughest teams in their conference.

“It was nice to see them play out there as a unit, and to see them be able to extend our lead,” Ripon head coach Rod Wright said. “That was a good gauge to see how those guys could play.”

Greg Taylor led Ripon in scoring with 16 points, while Andrew Bonner finished with 13.

Ripon will host TVL powerhouse Modesto Christian (9-0, 19-4) Friday at home for their senior night. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
