East Union’s girls golf team improved to 7-0 in Valley Oak League dual matches on Tuesday, downing host Mountain House 278-309 win at Tracy Golf & Country Club.

Arianna Pale was low medalist with a 10-over 46. Alizae Farias carded a 54. Kaylee Brown chimed in with a 57, Michaela Tarr tallied a 59 and Eva Diaz a 62.

Ysabella Katrice Aquino and Trixie Nataleigh Rosales paced Mountain House with 59s.

Ripon 161, Escalon 183

Ripon continued to dominate the Trans Valley League, getting a 37 from medalist Cameron Seefeldt.

Brynn Daley and Cailyn Young each turned in a 41, and Grace Ortmann added a 42.

Lathrop 341, Grace Davis 369

Shelby Jauregui was low medalist in the Western Athletic Conference match at Dryden Park Golf Course with a 62.

Savanna Quezada and Rachael Rani reach added a 69. Divine Locke contributed a 70, and Evangelina a 71.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

River Islands 3, Hughes Academy 0

The Riptide had its way in the Central California Athletic Alliance showdown, 25-11, 25-10, 25-13.

Leighann Ruiz and Jaselle Cliatt clobbered nine and five kills, respectively. Setters Corley Simoni and Makylah Kai Samoranos led the attack with 13 and 11 assists. Isabella Carrillo led the back-row defense.

Central Catholic 3, East Union 2

In Modesto on Monday, East Union (2-6 VOL, 10-11 overall) lost another five-set affair to Central Catholic, 25-21, 16-25, 25-22, 20-25, 9-15.

The Lancers managed to remain competitive after losing setter Lucija Dayeh to injury during the 42nd annual Carmichael Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. Lilyan Frye shouldered the load Monday, finishing with 20 assists to go with three digs, nine service points and two aces.

Macie Hall Anderson (three digs, five points) and Jedah Haywood had nine kills each.

GIRLS TENNIS

Manteca 8, Central Catholic 1

Hailie Kim, Reina Ngo and Ekam Ghuman won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 for Manteca (6-2 VOL, 10-6-1 overall).

Rae Limbago and Paisley Coenenberg each added 6-0, 6-1 victories. Saihaj Ghuman contributed a 6-1, 6-1 win.

The No. 2 doubles team of Alyson Alvarado and Cat Estrada Perez swept, 6-3, 6-2. Ryan Gomes and Juliana Ros took the No. 3 match, 6-0, 6-2.

The Lancers escaped Central Catholic with the 25-23, 26-24 sweep.

Addie Souza (five points, two aces, four digs) and Jesabel Teran (three points, three digs) blasted four kills apiece. Janelle Lopez added three kills, three blocks and four points.
