The Sierra boys and girls track and field teams ended the Valley Oak League dual schedule as undefeated Champions after one-sided victories over visiting Central Catholic on Thursday.
Scores were 101-31 for the boys, and 118-13 for the girls.
Both squads had record-setting performances in the finale.
Blama Kamara rambled to a new school record time of 48.49 seconds in winning the 400-meter dash. He was also on the winning 4x400 relay.
Christian Gonzalez broke the 2-minute barrier for the first time in the 800, winning in 1 minute, 58.25 seconds. He also won the 1,600 and joined Kamara on the mile relay.
Teagan Nazzisi landed personal-best mark in the shot put with a winning toss of 56 feet, 6 inches. He was also the runner-up in the discus.
Oluwademilade Akinleye was another top points producer, with wins in the 100, long jump and 4x100.
Jayden Everett and David Bauer split first place in the high jump. The T’wolves also got first-place finishes from Mantoj Grewal (110 hurdles), Mirwais Fazli (300 hurdles) and the 4x800.
Mya Everett had an impressive showing for Sierra’s girls with three wins. She broke the school record in the high jump at 5-03. She also set a new personal best in the triple jump (37-0) and completed the trifecta in the long jump.
Also in field events, Mamana Felesiailangi Inia improved her discus mark by more than 12 feet with a 101-01. Janiyah Vaughn won the shot put, and Mia Ona the pole vault.
Khamylle Bollengier led the T’wolves on the track, winning the 200 with a personal record time of 26.08. She also won the 400 and was on the first-place 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
Tyleah Badea ran a personal best 800 time of 2:21.44. Anna Dittman (1,600, 4x800) and Iris Rodriguez (3,200) are other top contributors in distance events.
Leslie Reyes won the 100 and joined Bollengier on the 4x100. Mackenzie Feri and Morgan Tienda took care of the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, respectively.
The Timberwolves next compete in the Glenn Rodgers Distance Carnival today and the Sacramento Meet of Champions on Saturday. The VOL Championships is next Thursday, April 30 at Manteca High.
BOYS GOLF
Valley Oak League
Manteca senior Ethan Freitas carded a 5-over 76 at La Contenta Golf Course for second place in the fifth VOL Tournament of the season.
He led the Buffaloes to a third-place team finish (440), which moves them into a fourth-place tie with Sierra on the season standings.
League-leading Oakdale (393) was again the top team and headed by medalist Estuardo Duque’s 71. Central Catholic (428) was the runner-up, while East Union (447) edged Sierra (448) for fourth. Mountain House (458) and Patterson (503) followed.
Logan Yagi (85), Cooper Chamberlain (86), Sebastian Cabrales (95) and Van Hendrix (98) were other scoring contributors for Manteca.
East Union was paced by eighth-place individual Michael Pires (82), who was followed by Cody Camarena (86), Anthony Oteri (86), Tiago Chadinha (94) and Matthew Neves (99).
Jorrden Llamas Mojarro spearheaded Sierra with an 84. Evan Hayne (87), Richie Cervantez (90), Aiden Cotter (93) and Kevin Casillas (94) followed suit.

COED TENNIS
Ripon 7, Sonora 2
The Indians (8-5, 12-5 overall) took care of business in the Trans Valley League match at Ripon Community Center, setting themselves up for a big match with postseason implications.
Brookelyn Betschart outlasted Kylie Serva 6-3, 7-6 in the No. 1 girls singles match. Joseph Tharakan got the hard-earned 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 win over Joel Taylor at No. 2 boys singles.
Ripon dominated all doubles matches.
Max Ferral-Emilio Machado Perez (6-0, 6-2) and Jordan Sandoval-John Yeung (6-4, 6-2) were the Nos. 1 and 2 boys winners. Sophie Douglas-Alyssa Lan (6-2, 6-1) and Abby Douglas-Molly Berger (6-0,6-1) swept at Nos. 1 and 2 girls.
Santiago Hernandez and Emiley Wang made quick work of their opponents, 6-0, 6-0.
The top three teams in the TVL qualify for the Sac-Joaquin Section team tournament, and Ripon is locked in a third-place tie with Orestimba. The Indians end their TVL dual schedule today at Hughson (6-7), while Orestimba heads to River Islands (5-7).
BASEBALL
Ripon Christian 14, Orestimba 4 (6)
In Newman, Ripon Christian (9-1, 23-2 overall) made program history by clinching at least a piece of its first league championship in the TVL. They can secure sole possession next week by winning at Trenton Cloward had a productive day. He was the winning pitcher after firing 10 strikeouts in five innings. The sophomore was also 3 for 4 with two steals, two runs and an RBI.
Ethan Vander Plaats closed it out, striking out one of the four batters he faced. Offensively, he was 2 for 3 with two runs.
Tyler Wadlow contributed a homer, two runs and three RBIs. Maxx Anderson (double, two runs, two RBIs), Stadtler Postma (double, run, two RBIs) and Jackson Howell (triple, run, RBI) all went 2 for 4.
Talen Tameling contributed an RBI double and two runs. Jack Strickland knocked in a pair of runs.
Robert Corella hit 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Orestimba (2-8, 8-15).
SOFTBALL
Manteca 5, Oakdale 2
The host Buffaloes (6-3, 13-7 overall) avenged one of their VOL defeats while improving their chances for a top-three finish.
Lauren Moncada highlighted the win with a solo homer, finishing 3 for 3 with two runs and a steal. Sienna Owen (two runs, steal) and Isabel Tonna (two RBIs) both went 2 for 3. Na’ima Calderon added a double and two RBIs.
Tonna was also the winning pitcher, surrendering six hits and a walk against three strikeouts.
Reese Donaldson (2 for 4, two steals, run) and Ella Christensen (RBI) led Oakdale (7-3, 11-9).
Ripon 12, Hilmar 3
Ellie Spurzem slugged two homers, drove in five runs, stole three bases and plated three in her prolific 2-for-3 effort for host Ripon (7-1 TVL, 16-5 overall).
Angelina Martinez contributed three RBIs and pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts. She scattered eight hits.
Clara Townsend went 3 for 4 with two runs. Addison Naranjo had three steals and three runs. Izabelle Spurzem pitched in two RBIs.
