MODESTO — Lathrop High’s wrestling team placed nine junior varsity wrestlers in the Enochs Tournament this past weekend.

Leading the charge were Kevin Howard, Angel Wilson and Omar Guzman, who each went 3-0 for first-place finishes. Samantha Harris and Wilmer Alvarez both took third.

Jered Weiler, Marquizianae Jones, Andrew Aquino and Carlos Sanchez also advanced to the medal rounds.

Lathrop closes the Valley Oak League regular season at Manteca Wednesday before heading back to tournament action at Pitman in Turlock next Saturday.
