When San Joaquin County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a vehicle for a routine traffic stop, they discovered a 14-year-old male juvenile in the driver’s seat with a 13-year-old in the passenger seat.
On further investigation, the deputies found that the car has been reported stolen. Inside the vehicle were several miscellaneous personal property items.
The car was reported stolen in connection to a burglary that had occurred in the Turlock area.
Both juveniles were arrested without incident and booked into Juvenile Hall and charged with auto theft and possession of stolen property.
The traffic stop was conducted at 12:05 a.m. Monday on East French Camp Road at the end of North Union Road in the unincorporated area of Manteca.
