Manteca HS student programs scoring with Stockton Thunder

The numbers coming out of Manteca High are 12, 3, and 2.

The 12 stands for of hockey fun, the 3 for generosity, and the 2 for grateful student groups.

Here’s the translation. For $12, you can buy a ticket for the Manteca High School Night with the Stockton Thunder fund-raiser. For every ticket purchased, $3 will be donated to Manteca High. The total proceeds from this fund-raiser will benefit two student groups on campus.

“The money will go to help the Band and Choir programs go down to Southern California to receive lessons from college professors and get the opportunity to record in the Disney recording studio,” said Manteca High teacher Nina Horton.

“The Link Crew will also receive money which will be used to fund their program. Link Crew is a year-round club whose goal is to help make the transition to high school easier for freshmen,” she added.

As an added incentive, the first 2,000 fans – age 18 and older – will receive an “adult gold replica jersey,” according to Horton.

The Stockton Thunder vs. Aces game will be held Saturday, March 3, at the Stockton Arena, 248 W. Fremont St. in Stockton. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the game will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available online at www.stocktonthunder.com/mhs. Horton also has a form that can be filled out if someone wants to order the tickets.

Horton can be reached for further questions or ticket orders at 858-4730 or send her an e-mail at nnorton@musd.net. You can also contact the Stockton Thunder directly by calling Robert Norton at 373-1553 or by e-mail at rnorton@stocktonthunder.com.

This Buffalo fund-raiser is for Lower End Zone seating.
