MUSD offices closed July 1-12 for energy conservation

For the third year in a row, Manteca Unified School District offices will be closed from July 1-12. Energy conservation is the primary reason behind this decision.

Thursday was the last day the district office was open for business since the end of the 2012-2013 school year in June. For the last few weeks since, business hours were held from Monday to Thursday only with the offices closed entirely on Fridays.

District offices will reopen Monday, July 15, when normal business will resume with the summer schedule – Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Regular business hours – Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – will return at the district office as well as the elementary and high school sites starting Monday, July 29. Some school officials may be back before that time to work and getting ready for the first day of the school year in August.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Education will take place on Tuesday, July 30, in the district office board room starting with the closed session at 6 p.m. followed by the public meeting at 7 p.m.

The Manteca Unified School District office is located at 2271 W. Louise Avenue, which is also the site of the Manteca Adult School since the Lindbergh School on East North Street was closed.
