French Camp Elementary School Principal Suzanne McCreath bid farewell to the Class of 2017 at Wednesday’s eighth-grade promotional exercises.
“You’re a wonderful group of students – young adults – who are now ready for high school,” she said at the special event held in the Multi-Purpose Building.
In all, 52 were recognized at the gathering consisting of family, friends and FC school community.
Hugo Martinez led in the Pledge of Allegiance and was joined by classmate Aram Bueno in welcoming those in attendance.
Student speakers included Yesenia Del Rio, Maris Prado, Alondra Gonzalez, and Marisol Perez.
McCreath along with Vice Principal Jennifer Taylor and teacher Kevin Kahler announced the award winners coupled with the top academic students.
