A Juneteenth Celebration is taking place Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane.

The free event is being presented by Manteca Recreation & Community Services.

It will include a historical presentation, art display, trivia, refreshments, as well as music and dancing.

Music on Maple Thursday

It’s Jammin’ Manteca reggae night at tonight’s Music on Maple from 6 to 9 p.m. in the 100 block of North Maple Avenue. The evening will include an open skate.

There will be a band, vendor booths, food trucks, a beer garden, and more.

Music on Maple follows the 5 p.m. ribbon cutting for the new Manteca arch over South Main Street between Wetmore Street and Moff Boulevard.
