manteca city logo
The City of Manteca seal as it is today without the original cross atop the rendering that initially was meant to represent a place of worship in “The Family City.”

It is the quintessential Manteca business — a gas station, a convenience store, a fast food drive thru restaurant and a car wash all in one location.

And developers of the envisioned commercial endeavor at  one of the heaviest trafficked intersections In Manteca — the northwest corner of Daniels Street and Airport Way  — are seeking a year’s extension of their project’s approval by the City of Manteca.

The intersection is the main access point  to Great Wolf Lodge, Costco, the Stadium Retail Center anchored by Kohl’s, the Big League Dreams sports complex, and the fledgling 100-acre family entertainment zone that will soon see the opening of the Loma Brewing Company on the corner of Daniels and Milo Candini Drive.

Dubbed “Daniels Center”, it is being pursued by the owners of Two Guys Food & Fuel located in the 100 block of Lathrop Road in Lathrop.

It will include a:

*3,400-square-foot convenience store.

*2,300-square-foot fast food drive-thru restaurant.

*car wash.

*gas station with 10 fuel dispensers to accommodate 20 vehicles at one time.

It is the third gas station proposed for the Airport Way corridor between Wawona Street and Atherton Drive.

*Rotten Robbie’s is now building a 4,800-square-foot convenience store with 16 fueling pumps on the southeast corner of Airport Way at Wawona Street. The project includes traffic signals at Wawona and Airport.

*Maverick, a Utah-based firm aggressively expanding into Northern California, has is also now constructing a gas station with 14 fueling stations, 8 commercial fueling stations, and a 6,140-square-foot convenience store with 38 parking spaces om the northwest corner of Airport Way and Atherton Drive.

It is part of the Manteca Crossing project that  includes 220 parking stalls situated around the 55,000-square-foot Food-4-Less store breaking ground next month that is being built along with 7,200 square feet of additional retail and restaurant space with 291 parking stalls,

There will be eight buildings including Dutch Bros, and Chick-Fil-A that have already opened.

.That is in addition to a four-story, 117-room Courtyard by Marriott.
