Manteca Transit is offering free shuttle bus rides from Orchard Valley to the Memorial Weekend Commemoration this Saturday and Sunday, May 23-24.
It will avoid the need to hunt for parking spaces blocks away and then long walks to reach the event that typically draws 30,000 visitors over three days.
Riders are dropped off — and picked up — at the Woodward Park drop zone by the picnic shelter.
There is no shuttle service on Memorial Day, May 25.
Departure times from The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley: 10 a.m.. 10:40 a.m., 11:20 a.m. noon, 12:40 p.m., 1:20 p.m., 2:20 p.m., 3 p.m., 3:40 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:50 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:10 p.m., 7:50 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9 p.m., 9:20 p.m. and 9:40 p.m.

The Army band will perform twice during the three-day Memorial Weekend Commemoration starting Saturday at Woodward Park, May 23-25.
The military band will stage a sunset concert Saturday at 8:20 p.m.
It will proceed a 15-minute open sky drone show.
The band performs again on Monday, Memorial Day, at 10:05 a.m. as part of remembrance ceremonies and speeches.
The event will also include a large car show, helicopter landings, vendors, a kids’ zone, and more.
There will also be a beer garden with the goal of featuring local concerns such as Loma Brewery and Brethren Brewery among others.
