Christopher ‘Kit’ Oase was recognized last week for his hard work during the past year as president of the Ripon Unified school board.
Superintendent Ziggy Robeson can attest to that.
“The superintendent works closely with the board president,” she said.
Oase turned over the gavel to Caroline Hutto during the annual organizational meeting. “Each year in December, the board will elect new officers,” he said.
Hutto will serve as board president with Chad Husky taking over as vice president and provisional trustee Vince Hobbs being selected as clerk.
Robeson will again handle the chores of secretary to the school board.
She also presented Oase with a wall plaque featuring a gavel in recognition of completing his term.
“He already had a gavel,” Robeson said.
