American Legion Post 249 is conducting a hamburger dinner on Saturday, July 18.
Take out is available from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The Legion Hall, 220 E. Yosemite Ave., will open it doors at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.
Dinner includes potato and pasta salads, beans, corn, and watermelon.
Bingo after dinner is $5 per card.
Attendees are urged to bring their classic car.
Seating is limited.

HOPE hoedown event
The annual HOPE Family Shelters Hoedown takes place Saturday, July 18.
The evening of country-western fun takes place at the Thomas Toy Community Center, 602 West Yosemite Ave., from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
Dinner will be catered by Texas Roadhouse.
There will be Bingo and Texas Hold 'Em Poker, raffle baskets, and a dessert silent auction.
Dinner and a bingo 6-pack is $35, dinner and buy-in for Texas Hold ’Em is $50, while dinner only tickets are $25.

Art show at museum Friday
The Manteca Museum, 600 W. Yosemite, is hosting an art show on Friday, July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. in partnership with the Manteca Artist Guild.
The evening will allow you to meet local artists.
The featured artwork will be on display and available for purchase at the museum through the end of July.
Wine & Words at museum
The next Wine & Words at the museum on Thursday, July 23, will feature a talk about “Legends of the Ring” from 6 to 8 p.m.
Manteca High alumni and military veteran Ralph Dominguez will moderate the Wine & Words conversation.
It features guest speakers Tony Dominguez, Richard Perez, and Mike Lopez.
Dominquez was undefeated with a 16-0 record and 14 knockouts. Known as “The Manteca Artist”. He was inducted into the Hispanic Hall of Fame.
Perez is a famous Manteca trainer who coached legends Nate and Nick Diaz.
Lopez is a mentor, personal trainer, and boxing enthusiast.
The evening is free to members while a suggested donation of $10 is being asked of those that are not members of the Manteca Historical Society to help support the museum.
