The City of Manteca solid waste division will collect discarded “live” Christmas trees on regularly scheduled residential collection days through Jan. 14.

Trees must be free of stands and all ornaments. Flocked trees are OK.

The trees should be placed the night before at curbside next to collection carts.

The city’s curbside leaf collection continues through Jan. 13 on regular residential street sweeping days.

Leaves must be left un-bagged as well as a foot away from the curb and gutter to avoid blocking water runoff.

It is for leaves only and no other yard waste.

If you have only a small amount of leaves, place them in your green waste cart for collection.

Crews need to be able to reach the leaf piles so avoid parking vehicles in close proximity.
