A classic boat that will be at the June 27 Runabouts on the River in Stockton.

STOCKTON — The 8th Annual Runabouts on the River, presented by The Antique and Classic Boat Society NorCal/Lake Tahoe chapter, takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Stockton Sailing Club in Stockton.

This event features the largest collection of classic boats on the West Coast.

A highlight are the complimentary boat rides.

Runabouts on the River is a popular antique boat and car show, celebrating classic boating and automotive culture.

Proceeds from the event support Stockton Sailing Club Youth Sailing Program, the Sea Scouts, and help the Stockton Maritime Museum’s efforts to showcase the USS Lucid on downtown Stockton’s waterfront. Funds from the event also allow the ACBS to continue offering programming for the community.

Runabouts on the River offers free admission and free boat rides on the San Joaquin River so that enthusiasts, collectors, and the community can enjoy a beautiful day celebrating classic boats and cars.

One new feature this year, will be rides on an historic former U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Boat piloted by Captain John Garza of Pacific Coast Water Rescue.

This annual event brings together classic and antique boats, classic cars, hot rods, and modern performance cars. There are vendors selling food, drinks and other wares. Bring the kids and enjoy the free activities just for them.

The Sailing Science Center will provide a hands on, interactive learning experience that children and adults will enjoy. Listen to live music and enjoy a beer or cocktail.

A highlight is always the live demonstrations from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s firefighting boat as it shows off firefighting skills as well as water rescue demonstrations by Pacific Water Rescue.

The Stockton Sailing Club is located at 4980 Buckley Cove Way, Stockton. It sits at the west end of March Lane, across from Ladd's Marina on the San Joaquin River in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
