Venues to celebrate New Year’s Eve 2018

French Camp Bar & Grill may be the place to usher in the New Year.

On Monday, Dec. 31, the restaurant at 3919 French Camp Road will feature live music along with good food and a champagne toast at midnight to ring in 2019.

“We have limited spaces but we are planning on opening the bar and charging a ($10) cover,” said owner Ray Miller, who took over the former club house facility in the summer of 2017.

Cost for this special event consisting of happy hour (6 to 8 p.m. featuring hors d’oeuvres), dinner (7 to 9 o’clock offering a choice of filet mignon, salmon & shrimp, or chicken cordon bleu), and dessert is $40 per person.

Dinner will be followed with music by ‘Legends RBS Band’ and dancing from 9 o’clock to shortly before midnight – and then count down will begin, with a champagne toast.

Music and dancing will continue from there through 1:30 a.m.

Yosemite Ave, will “Celebrate 2019 On the Lanes.” Monday will be the Family Party Package available at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., and all-day New Year’s on Tuesday. Deliberation Room, 19 N. California St. will ring in 2019 retro style – as in Studio 54 during the Disco Era – from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The ‘70s theme wear is polyester and the retro cover charge is $15 per person. The evening will include a balloon drop and champagne toast along with plenty of drink specials at this downtown speak easy.

The Kitchen @ Stone Brier, 4780 West Lane, will celebrate New Years while following East Coast time – try 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, with a toast for the early 2019. Cost is $60 per person with dinner being served at 5 p.m. and 7 o’clock.

Pacific Bowl, 5939 Pacific Ave., will again present the family-fun “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Bash” from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tickets are $25 adults, $20 league bowlers, and $15 for those 15 and younger (must be accompanied by an adult).

The special function will include hourly drink specials, bottomless pitcher of soda ($10), free drawing of prizes, cosmic bowling, music and a midnight toast (cider will be offered).
