Gary Singh has raised $10,729 during the last 30 days to fund his campaign for a seat on the Manteca City Council.
It brings his total raised so far to $51,405 — a record for a Manteca council or mayor candidate. He eclipsed the fundraising mark Mayor Steve DeBrum set in 2012 raising $46,404 to defeat Ben Cantu who had raised $6,649 to run for mayor.
Three of the six candidates vying for two seats in the Nov. 8 election filed the required updated campaign contribution forms as of 4 p.m. Thursday. Eric Hayes is not required to file as he is not asking for donations or spending more than $1,000 on the campaign. Cantu and David Cushman hadn’t filed the forms as of 4 p.m.
Incumbent Debby Moorhead and challenger Jeff Zellner have already filed their forms. Zellner raised an additional $8,169 to bring his total to $26,646. Moorhead added $3,150 to bring her total to $23,704.
Going into the final 12 days of the campaign Singh had the most money on hand with $13,022 left to spent. Zellner had $1,169 and Moorhead $961.
