Time running out for carnival discount

Less than two days remain to save 50 percent on carnival tickets for the Sunrise Kiwanis Manteca Pumpkin Fair carnival that starts Wednesday.

Besides saving buyers money the advance ticket sales are how the servcie club that have given away $500,00 over the past 26 years raises money from the carnival for community endeavors.

The carnival takes place at The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley between Best Buy and JC Penney along the Highway 120 Bypass at Union Road.

It starts Wednesday, Sept. 29, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 3. It is open Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

The deadline for 50 percent half-off presale carnival tickets that can also be traded for an all-day wrist band is Wednesday at 10 a.m. They are available at the Manteca Visitors Center in the Orchard Valley center near the roundabout fountain, Golden Valley Federal Credit Union on Center Street across from Verizon, and Roadrunner Glass in the 200 block of North Main Street.

Discount books of 30 tickets for $15 are available.

The two-day Pumpkin Fair that takes place this Saturday and Sunday typically draws nearly 40,000 people downtown.

It will include more than 180 vendors, food, free entertainment, free kids games, kids’ rides, and more. There is also a car show on Sunday.
