Leith Henry Todd, 89, was a resident of Manteca for over 30 years. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born Sept. 2, 1919 in Big Heart, Oklahoma. He was raised in Modesto and lived most of his life in the valley until moving to Arizona in 2005.

He is survived by his wife Julienne of Ajo, Arizona. He leaves his children, Loraine (Dennis) Scharmann of Las Vegas, Nevada, Larry (Judy) of Athena, Oregon, Carolyn (Jerry) Abbott of Stockton, Stephen (Lupe) of Lemoore, and David (Wendi) of Sutherlin, Oregon. He is survived by 28 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

He lived his life with lots of energy, caring and good humor. He was loved by his family throughout his life and will be missed. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Memorial services were held Monday, April 27, at 2 p.m. at Eaton Family Funeral Home, 513 12th St., Modesto. He was laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
