On Sunday, December 16, 2018, Marion Elizabeth Golisano, 84, passed into heaven. She joined her late husband of 65 years, Fred Golisano, and son and daughter in law, Ronald and Denise Golisano.

Marion leaves her children, Christene Gatschet and son-in-law Bruce of Valley Springs, Katheren Gordon and son-in-law Mike of Tracy, Fred Golisano and daughter-in-law Maria of Los Banos, and John Golisano and daughter-in-law Debbie of Hollister. Marion was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three more on the way. She is survived by her brother, William Weir of Georgia, two sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews of Marion’s brothers, Richard and Robert.

Marion was very creative in life. She loved to produce beautiful gifts for family and friends including ceramic center pieces and crocheted tablecloths and blankets. She loved gardening and developed a passion for growing cactus and other unusual succulents. She was honored when a rare camellia variety from her garden earned top recognition. She was an active member and past treasurer of the Manteca Garden Club.   She loved to bake and provided goodies for fundraising to benefit the scholarship fund of her favorite organization, The Young Ladies Institute (YLI) of St Anthony’s in Manteca. She also enjoyed weekly bocce tournaments with dear friends at the Italian Athletic Club in Stockton.

Please join her family and friends for a celebration of life on Saturday, December 22, at 11:00 a.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road in Manteca, followed by refreshments. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your favorite charity.
