Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
Manteca mayoral candidate Ben Cantu talks incessantly about the need for change.
In his latest attack, he goes all the way back to 2008 to criticize city leaders, but what has Ben Cantu done in the past 20 years to make Manteca a better community?
It is easy to sit on the sidelines and cherry-pick issues to complain about. It’s another thing to be accountable for the decisions that are made. Manteca is moving forward because city leaders have made wise, visionary decisions that have allowed our community to prosper while many others, like Stockton, have suffered.
I, for one, am sick and tired of Ben Cantu and his supporters’ negativity and pessimism. Our city needs leaders who have a proven track record of leadership and a positive view of Manteca and it’s potential. That is why I’m supporting Steve DeBrum for mayor. Please join me in rejecting Cant’s brand of negativism. Our community can only prosper if we all work together to build on the progress we have made.
