SAN JOSE (AP) — Bryce Johnson, Jalen Miller and Heath Quinn each had three hits, as the San Jose Giants beat the Stockton Ports 6-1 on Thursday.
Johnson doubled and singled twice, scoring two runs. Miller doubled and singled twice, driving home two runs.
With the game tied 1-1, the Giants took the lead for good in the third inning when Quinn hit a solo home run.
The Giants later added a run in the fifth and three in the eighth. In the fifth, Gio Brusa hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Wander Franco, while Miller drove in two runs and Johnson drove in one in the eighth.
San Jose right-hander Raffi Vizcaino (5-4) picked up the win after allowing one run on just four hits over five innings. Opposing starter Dustin Hurlbutt (2-3) took the loss in the California League game after giving up three runs and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings.
