M.C. Hammer, left, with Phil Waterford after buying a car at the Manteca Ford dealership.

Manteca Ford continues to prosper despite these challenging economic times that have impacted many automobile dealers nationally.

With the June sales close Manteca Ford needed one more new vehicle sale to reach Ford Motor Company's Sales Objective for the month of June.

Waterford reflects back on June 30 when the only thing that was moving on his lot was tumbleweed. He was sitting in his office and reflecting on the night before when he was in deep prayer in search of many answers. At approximately 5 p.m. a notable man walked into his office to officially meet him. This man began to minister to him perhaps without even knowing it.

"I've never experienced the spectrum of emotions from extreme laughter to sobbing uncontrollably while being inspired with great expectations for the future."

Waterford exchanged testimonies as he realized how far he has come personally through the journey of what we call life. Waterford said, "My spirit was being fed."

In the end, this man purchased a 2012 Ford Mustang for his daughter who is going away to college. Subsequently, the dealership hit their Ford Sales Objective for the 42nd consecutive month.

Waterford was in deep discussion with this man as they talked about social media, Facebook, Twitter, etc. "I had no idea that this man has over 2 million followers on "Twitter". Recently he was with Justin Bieber who is the most recognizable young person in the world. Later this month he has a speaking engagement in Silicon Valley with Bill Gates and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. He was recently on the Oprah show and just returned from the White House with our President. Waterford said "I've always admired his abilities to rap, sing, dance & entertain. I had no idea of this man's social and intellectual qualities that are really changing the world. I would also be remiss if I did not acknowledge his spiritual anointing."

M.C. Hammer who lives in Tracy, California and has sold over 50 million records continues to be an inspiration for so many. Waterford said: "One thing that I've learned that I want to share with you is when you're in difficult times, God is either working in you or he is using you to do work in someone else. As long as you're in faith, where you are is where you're supposed to be."
