Transformed Through Hope Ministries once called home an office space near Crossroads Grace Community Church on Moffat Boulevard.

The church of three years recently found a new place to call home, moving into the building that once occupied Lighthouse Light of the World.

Today, Pastors Wayne and Cynthia Jackson will celebrate two milestones – the third-year anniversary of the church and the dedication of the new facility today from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Emory, 1028 W. Yosemite St.

A tour of the new Manteca church at 201 W. Alameda St. is also in the plans, from 3 to 4 p.m.

Cynthia Jackson, for one, is excited about the changes and plans for the future.

“We’re now looking to expand our youth services and add a modular classroom,” she said on Friday.

In September, the Jacksons moved to the new location, bringing along a congregation consisting of about 40 members.

Most attend the Sunday worship service at 10 a.m. or weekly Bible studies held each Thursday beginning at 7 p.m.

Transformed Through Hope Ministries also has men’s Bible studies (second Saturday) and women’s Bible studies (fourth Saturday).

Wayne Jackson was raised in San Francisco, graduating from Santa Rosa Junior College with a concentration in Administration of Justice. He later studied at San Jose Bible College.

His call to the ministry came in 1994.

Cynthia Jackson accepted her call to the ministry two years earlier. She was licensed and ordained in 1997.

Wayne and Cynthia Jackson lived in the Bay Area prior to coming to Manteca. They’ve been married for nearly 35 years, and have two sons, Andre and Antone, and grandchildren.

They’re expected to be joined by the special people in their lives at today’s anniversary / dedication ceremony.
