Bert Willmirth died March 21, 2009 in Manteca. He was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, on October 10, 1913. He resided in San Luis Obispo from 1923 until moving to Merrill Gardens in Manteca in 2006.

This move allowed him to be near his daughters; Janice Archer Arizcuren and Linda Mallory Guerrero.

Mr. Willmirth attended local schools in San Luis Obispo including California State Polytechnic College. He was employed for many years by Southern Pacific Railroad Co. and retired from the railroad in 1974.

He was married to Nellouise Green Willmirth who preceded him in death in 1979.

He is survived by Jack and Janice Arizcuren, Jay and Linda Guerrero, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren that loved him dearly. He also leaves behind many special friends and acquaintances from Merrill Gardens and San Luis Obispo.  His heart was constantly warmed by wonderful friends from San Luis Obispo who continued to correspond with him through phone calls, newspaper clippings, cards and letters. He will be missed by all of us that knew and loved him.

Private services were held in Manteca at Mr. Willmirth's request. Remembrances in his name may be made to your favorite charity. For more information, please call P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca at 209-239-1242.
