Sondra “Sandy” Lee Barta, 69, of Manteca, California, went to be with our Lord Jesus on Saturday, February 12, 2011. Sondra was born in Oakland, California on October 26, 1941 to Richard and Pauline Hayden.

Sondra was preceded in death by her mother Pauline Hayden and her father Richard Hayden of San Leandro, CA. She is survived by her son, Dennis Barta and wife Denise of Tracy, CA; daughter Dayna (Barta) Hayes and husband Michael of Monument, CO; her brother James Hayden and wife Linda of Amherst, NY; and her five grandchildren: Sean Barta, Richelle Barta, Jeremy Hayes, Nicholas Barta and Alexander Hayes.

Sondra graduated from San Lorenzo High School in 1959 and went on to earn her nursing LVN certificate. She cherished her relationships with family, friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed painting, fishing, dancing, laughing and riding her tricycle with her dog, Heidi.

Memorial service and reception will be held on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, 2 p.m. at the Woodbridge Community Center, 2401 Morning Brook Drive, Manteca, CA 95336, 209-824-7581.
