Ripon Unified keeps board meetings at council chambers

In recent years, the Ripon Unified school board has conducted most of its monthly meetings in the Council Chambers.

Elected leaders agreed at their Nov. 13 session to draft the 2018 board meeting schedule, in turn, requesting once again the use of the City of Ripon facility at 759 Wilma Ave.

This request often takes place in time for the reorganization meeting in December.

They’ve used Ripon Elementary School, the Ripon High library and the RHS Multi-Purpose Room, which was the previous school board meeting site, in the past year due to conflicting schedules.

The Ripon Planning Commission, which usually meets on the Monday following the City Council meeting, also uses the Council Chambers.

Trustees approved the 2018 regular board meeting schedule that includes the Council Chamber not being available for the May 7 session.

That same schedule also calls for the June 18 session being scheduled at the RHS library.

The RUSD meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
