13 in Brockman’s Class of 2019 earn 4.0s

Marissa Gonzalez, Katie Kim and Marisa Rush were among the top students for Stella Brockman Elementary School’s Class of 2019.

The three eighth graders not only had straight A’s – 4.0 grade point average – every trimester but were the top award winners at Wednesday’s commencement exercises.

Gonzalez earned the Outstanding Character Award while Kim was the recipient of the Stella Brockman Award and Rush garnered the Scholar Athlete Award.

Principal Candace Espinola welcomed those in attendance and, along with Vice Principal Denise Buske, announced the Achievement Award winners.

Others achieving 4.0 GPAs were Josue Esparza, Yesena Franco, Imaiya Kuhns, Mia Lagunas, Marco Martinez Fernandez, Belle Noyer, Amanda Riggleman, Jovan Sangha, Elyssa Searcy, and Victoria Zellner.

Yareli Alvarez, Maci Carter, Itzyana Guevara, Jymena Guevara, Avery Hoyer, Trinity Hurtado Chavez, Rohama Khalid, Alyah Martinez, Marco Martinez Fernandez, Pamela Meenderink, Alan Mejia, Alexis Mejia, Sarah Moreira, Almarubi Muratalla, Nathaniel Rehmke, Xiomara Ringelski, Natalya Rivero, Ariana Rosas, Tanya Sharma, Brandon Simon, Denise Tostado, Julio Villalobos Moreno, Kyndall Wesley and Payton Willox were among those with a 3.5 GPA or better.
