A Cinco de Mayo celebration is being staged Saturday, May 2, at Library Park.

The Downtown Manteca District sponsored event is from 5 to 9 p.m.

It will include vibrant music, food vendors, colorful performances, a car show, and local artisans.

Manteca firefighters are staging their annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, May 9.

It takes place from 7 to 11 a.m. at Station 1, 290 South Powers Ave.

It is a fundraiser benefitting the Captain Tom Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and sausage.

It is served with coffee, milk and orange juice.

Tickets are $10. Children under 10 are $5.

The Manteca Historical Society will be launching its Museum Kids Club starting Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m.

The free event will be held at the museum 600 W. Yosemite Ave. every last Saturday of each month.
