Manteca Transit seeks input on plans to add fixed route bus service

The addition of ACE service will make the downtown center a more complete transit hub.

Manteca is seeking input on redesigning its fixed route bus system to accommodate the addition of a fifth route.

The goal is to fashion future bus routes and enhance service frequency, transfer points, and coverage throughout the city.

Two workshops are set for Monday, May 11, at the Manteca Transit Center, 220 Moffat Blvd., at noon and 6 p.m.

Both sessions will cover the same information.

Manteca has also been weighing other options such as increasing the frequency of service on its heaviest used route.

The city, when Altamont Corridor Express commuter trains start stopping in downtown Manteca as early as 2027, plans to add bus service to connect residents with the trains via bus service,

Manteca Transit ridership is experiencing significant growth, with a 11.81% increase to 88,089 in 2024–2025 and further 11% growth in early 2026, pushing annual rides past 100,000.
