Manteca Unified may expand dual enrollment opportunities for high school students to include Modesto Junior College and Delta College courses starting with the 2026-2027 school year.
The proposal is before the Manteca Unified School District board when they meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the district office, 2271 W. Louise Ave.
The district already has such an arrangement with Delta College.
On Thursday, the board could add the Yosemite Community College District’s MJC campus courses in Modesto to the available options.
Faculty has recommended the additional partnership to maximize student access without duplicating MUSD offerings.
Manteca Unified’s dual enrollment program allows high school students to earn college and high school credits simultaneously, enhancing college and career readiness while reducing time and cost in pursuing a college degree.
The effort supports expanded pathways for Manteca Unified high school students in both core academics and CTE programs.
The offerings through the two community colleges will not replace MSUD courses or teachers.
