Modifications are being made to the new Woodward Park splash pad that opened last month requiring its temporary closure on Tuesday-Wednesday, July 7-8.
The work being done includes:
*Upgrading catch basins and ground filters to reduce clogging and maintain better performance.
*Adding a drain and connecting it to the existing drain line to reduce water runoff and conserve water.
*Correct grading issues in a landscaped area with bark that has prompted water to collect to attract wasps.
The splash pad recycles water through an elaborate filtering system to keep it save for reuse.
The work being done further enhances the efficiency of the recycling system.
