Born in Stockton on May 10, 1949, Walter Joseph Ott, 72, entered into rest on July 18, 2021 in French Camp, CA.
   He is preceded in death by his son, Eric Ott and brother, Mike Ott and parents, Fred and Marguerite Ott .
   Mr. Ott is survived by his so, Bob Ott, five grandchildren, Emma Ott, Evan Ott, Carlie Ott, Catie Vilaysack and Chad Ott.    He was blessed with two great- grandchildren, Emery and Ella, siblings, Frank, Fred and Ernie Ott.
   Walter was affectionately known as “Walt.” He was a lifetime resident of Manteca and graduated from Manteca High in 1967. He was the owner operator of Performance Machine of Manteca for over 44 years. He built many boats and hot rods from the ground up that he was extremely proud of. Walt’s passion was boats, in the early 70’s he traveled all of the United States competing in Drag Boat Races where he received many accolades. Walt lived and breathed boats, cars and hot rods, he had a reputation for being generous with is craftsmanship, making each machinery look custom to his clients specific needs. Walt will be remembered for his reserved demeanor and his giving spirit. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
