Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
On behalf of the PTSA 8th grade promotion committee here at Golden West I would like to thank the Manteca community for supporting our recent car wash on Saturday, March 20. The customers were cheerful and continuous. Some folks really made the students feel supported by returning home to bring back a second vehicle. The four hours went by quickly and we even had to do an extension by popular request.

As the teacher advisor, I would like to also thank the 29 students for their excellent behavior throughout the event and mostly independent hard work. Any needed reminders to wash and wash etc. were cheerfully followed. Having done many of these car washes while raising five children, I can truly say that this was one of the best groups in my experience and speaks well of the families behind these young people. Thank you again Manteca.

A final thank you to the many adults who helped out. The students had great work models though at times we had to ask for a sharing of the fun. It was definitely a family friendly Saturday morning which both helped meet our fund raising needs for the May promotion activities and provided our students with a wonderful experience of teamwork and community support. The participation of all and the leadership of the committee are appreciated.
