Manteca Celebrates Restaurant Week starting Jan. 14

The Manteca Visitors Center is once again celebrating local flavor with their 3rd Annual Manteca Restaurant Week. Running from Jan. 14-20.

Manteca’s Restaurant Week is part of California’s Restaurant Month.

Participating restaurants will be offering a 20% discount to anyone with a Restaurant Week Discount Card. These cards are available at participating restaurants, the Manteca Visitors Center, and can also be printed at VisitManteca.org.

Current participants include Bean & Leaf Café, Chubby’s Diner, DeVega Brothers Italian Cuisine, Guido’s Take-U-Bake Pizza, Matsu Sushi, Silver Chopstick, Village Sandwich Shoppe & Weber’s BBQ & More. Check VisitManteca.org for updated to our list of participants.

SJCHCC presents Business Forecast Conference Jan. 17

STOCKTON -  The San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host its 3rd Annual Business Forecast Conference on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Robert Cabral Agricultural Center. 

The conference is designed to help local businesses better prepare for what to anticipate from the economy in 2013.

The program will feature keynote speakers Michael Stead, Director Capitol Markets for Bank of the West and Jeffrey Michael, Director Business Forecasting Center for University of the Pacific.  

The forum will also feature a question and answer session with a panel
of three local experts.  They will talk about how the economy, the November elections and other regional dynamics may impact local business and what opportunities can be found during the next year.  The panel will consist of Greenlaw “Fritz” Grupe, Chairman of The Grupe Companies, Greg Aghazarian, Beattie & Aghazarian, LLP and Don Wiley, St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

Cost for the event is $75 per person.  Registration and breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 8:30 a.m.  For more information contact the chamber office at 209-943-6117.

 

IHOP serving free pancakes

 IHOP restaurants will once again invite guests to enjoy free pancakes during National Pancake Day on Feb. 5 while celebrating Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ 30th Anniversary.

 During National Pancake Day more than 1,500 IHOP restaurants across the country will invite guests to enjoy a complimentary stack of IHOP’s signature delicious buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Guests will be encouraged to make a voluntary contribution to the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital or other local charities. One hundred percent of the donations will help local charities provide vital equipment, life-saving procedures and critical care for sick and injured children.

Guests visiting participating IHOP restaurants in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will also have the option to purchase “Miracle Balloons” for $1 and $5 each, throughout the month of January leading into National Pancake Day, with all proceeds going to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Those who buy a $5 Miracle Balloon will receive a $5 off discount that can be credited toward their next visit.
