Corinne Natali of Manteca will join thousands of other dedicated women and men at the San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day Nov. 20-22 benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust.

Natali walked the San Francisco 3-Day in 2008, raising almost $3,000 and walking 53 of the 60 miles.  This year, she is heading for San Diego to do it all over again.

“The 3-Day is such an amazing experience!  My grandma had breast cancer and she is a big reason I do this.  I also do this for my daughter; I never want my daughter to have to go through something like that.  The 3-Day gives me the opportunity to celebrate breast cancer survivors like my Grandma Cleo, to honor those who lost their lives to the disease, and ultimately, have an enormous impact on awareness and funding for breast cancer research,” said Natali. “It’s a hard thing to do… walk 60 miles in 3 days.  And in this economy, raising money is a difficult thing too.  But it is worth it.  To know that I am making a difference in the world and to know that I am honoring so many people and their battles with cancer - that is worth every blister and every mile… because everyone deserves a lifetime.”

To help Natali reach her goal, you can support her upcoming fundraiser at the Manteca Boys and Girls Club on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 4 p.m.  Outback Steakhouse is catering and there will be a short program, raffle drawing and live entertainment from local bands Braata and Chelsea Jordan.  Tickets are only $15 and can be purchased at several locations:

•Natali’s booth at the Manteca Farmer’s Market (Today at Library Park from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.)
