A driver is in serious condition following a two vehicle collision at the Union Road and Louise Avenue intersection.

The accident occurred at 1:49 a.m. Thursday.

It involved a Ford SUV and a Freightliner box truck.

The driver of the SUV was transported to an area hospital.

The truck driver indicated he was not injured.

The drivers were the only ones in the vehicles.

The intersection was closed for five hours while the Manteca Police investigation and subsequent cleanup took place.
