The East Union High Drama Department will perform the spring musical ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ on Friday and Saturday.

Show time at the on-campus Playbox Theatre, 1700 Union Rd., Manteca, is 7 p.m. on both days.

Two more showings are also planned for Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9, at 7 p.m.

General admission is $10.

‘Little Shop of Horrors’ is under the direction of Annette Taser.

Melissa Burgarin-Campos, who is an East Union Theater and Choir alum, is the choreographer while Gary Fritzen is the music director.

The cast of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ consists of Jem Ornales, Dawson Mix, Monica Robison-Powell, and Jadyn Snaer.

Ornales, who is Thespian President of Troupe #4467, plays Martin and Seymour in the school show. Mix, a newcomer to the Theater program, is also looking forward to performing as Seymour Krelborn, the meek flower shop assistant who pines for his co-worker Audrey.

Robison-Powell and Snaer both play Audrey.

During a total eclipse, Seymour discovers an unusual plant and names it the Audrey II.

The flesh-and-blood-eating plant is being performed by Jamari West and Gabe Ornate.
