The Spreckels Park Orioles scored in every inning but one Tuesday in the District 67 Minors Tournament of Champions quarterfinal and held the Manteca Marlins scoreless in the final two en route to 20-9 win at Brock Elliot School.
Spreckels Park had three five-run innings – the third, fourth and sixth – with the third and fourth being truncated by rule to a five-run maximum per inning that does not apply to the last inning.
A.J. Chapman (2 for 3, four RBI, two runs) had the big hit of the Orioles fourth inning with a three-RBI triple. Jayson Arnoldus (double, three RBI) had a two-RBI double in the third and Wyatt Bauer (2 for 2, double, two RBI, four runs) added a two-RBI double in the sixth. Maddox Morales was 2 for 2 with an RBI and two runs.
Danny Alvarez had a two-RBI single for Manteca in a five-run fourth and Isaac Acuna was 2 for 3 with two RBI and a run. Leadoff batter Cole Martin walked four times and scored twice.
Manteca plays Lathrop tonight at 5:30 in a consolation contest and Spreckels Park and Tracy American face each other Thursday in the semifinal at 5:30 p.m.

TRACY – The Northgate Cubs needed just four innings Tuesday to defeat the Patterson Dodgers in a mercy rule quarterfinal at Legacy Fields.
The Cubs pounded out 18 hits and were led by Zach Grabowski who was 4 for 4. Alan Orteaga was 3 for 3, Ivan Vieira (home run) and Ivan Alvarez were 3 for 4, Anthony Garcia (walk) was 2 for 3, Cody Lee was 1 for 2 and Nick Ridgewell and Carson Sanders were each 1 for 3 with a walk.
Grabowski threw three strikeouts and Ridgewell and Garcia had two apiece.
Northgate plays the Spreckels Park Giants on Thursday at 5:30 p.m in the semifinal.

Patterson Reds 0
Kainoa Ontai, Zac Cook and Sante Duarte combined for 17 strikeouts and allowed the Reds only two hits.
Kyle Bagley was 2 for 2 with an RBI, run and a walk for the Giants. Noah Aguirre was 2 for 3 with two runs, Ontai was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run and Cook tripled, knocked in a run, scored twice and walked once.
Spreckels Park faces the Northgate Cubs on Thursday at 5:30 p.m in the semifinal.
