Barbara Jane Reeder, 74, a 40 year Manteca resident, passed away at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital with family at her side. Barbara was born in Booneville, Arkansas on September 6, 1942 to P. C. and Violet Sharp.
   She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Union Ward, Happy Wheelers of Manteca, and was a very active member of the local food co-op, and Fat Fighters Club. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting, and loved doing crosswords. She was an avid cook who loved watching cooking shows.  Barbara was a very kind, loving, caring and giving wife, mother, grandmother and friend that will be greatly missed.
   Barbara is survived by her husband, of 43 years, David L. Reeder of Manteca, children, Deborah A. Woofington, James R. Tomlinson, Melissa Jones all of Manteca, Logan Reeder of Fresno and AI Iida of Fukuoka, Japan; siblings, Patricia Choat, and Pam Shilts both of Manteca; grandchildren, Darcy Alford, Damian Rashid, Victoria Goodwin, Jessica Duke, Jamison Smejkal, Ayden Jones, Payton Reeder, and Jordyn Reign Reeder.
   She was preceded in death by her parents P.C. and Violet Sharp.
   A funeral service will be observed Friday, May 19, 2017, 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., Tracy. Visitation will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 9:00-11P:30 a.m. Interment will be at Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Rd., Tracy.
