Today the world has lost a wonderful and hard working husband, father, papa and great papa. Our family will be a little lost without him present. He has always been there for all of us.

Born August 27, 1932 in Avery, Missouri to Orval and Lola Mae Breshears, and died March 1, 2013 after his fight against cancer.

He has been a member of the Manteca community since 1956. He owned and operated Breshears Chevron for 30 years. He is a Korean War Veteran and served honorably in the United States Navy. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1051, where he served in the Honor Guard for 21 years. He is also a member of the American Legion Post 249.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bertsie Breshears of Manteca, son  Ron (Glenda) Breshears of Modesto, two daughters: Terri Gomes of Gig Harbor, Washington and Julie (Ron) Tanner of Spokane, Washington. Grandchildren; Jennifer, Diana, Tina, Jason, Ken, Crystal, Timmothy and Kevin. Great-granchildren: Marshall, Abigail and Sky.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Glen Breshears, and his son James Breshears.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 7,  at 1 p.m. at VFW Post 1051, 12455 West Ripon Rd., Ripon, CA
