Judy Lynn Hayes, 68, entered into rest on July 29, 2010 in Manteca, California. She was born on September 25, 1941 in Gate City, Virginia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis and Dorothy Hommel. She joins her husband in heaven, Oliver Thomas Hayes

 Mrs. Hayes is survived by her children, Tom Hayes of Mt. View, Lynn Mattson of Manteca, and Randy Hayes of Manteca. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren; Zachary Hayes, Chris Mattson, Eddy Mattson, Marc Mattson, Chelsea Hayes, and Brandon Hayes. She has 3 surviving siblings, Karen Anderson of Manteca, Jim Hommel of Kingsport, TN, and Brenda Rodgers of Kingsport, TN.

 Judy retired after as an IC Mask Designer after 40 years of service at Fairchild /National Semi-Conductor. She was a member of Calvary Community Church of Manteca. Being a member of the Toastmasters for many years, Judy was a wonderful public speaker. She was a magnificent writer, keeping many personal journals about her life for family and future generations. She enjoyed traveling with her husband all over California especially to Yosemite National Park and the Sierra. Judy loved tradition and entertaining family and friends which was proven by her Sunday Breakfast Socials before and after church. Her grandchildren were her life; she loved each and every one of them as she cherished each special moment she spent with them. Judy’s outlook on life was always positive. She thought there was good in everyone she met. Her heart was always pure and giving, she will be missed deeply.

 Mrs. Hayes’ services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday Aug. 4, 2010 at 1 p.m. at P.L. Fry &Son Funeral Home 290 N.
