Mabel Carol Gustafson

Mabel Carol Gustafson was born in Princeton, MN, and was the daughter of John Larka Anderson and Annie Louise Larson. She was the third youngest in a family of eleven children.

She is survived by her sisters Myrtle VanSickle of Virginia, Ethel Villella of MN, her brother Chester of MN, her four children Carol Fosvik of Coon Rapids, MN, Greg Haagberg of Isanti, MN, Louis Gustafson of Salida, CA and Desiree Carter of Manteca, CA. She has five grandsons, three grand-daughters and sixteen great-grandchildren. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Harold Raymond Gustafson in 2007.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother who gave willingly of her heart to all who knew her. She moved with her husband and children to Manteca in 1971 and was an active member of the community and a professed home-maker. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served wherever asked.  She could be found giving service to all in need.  She always wore a smile on her face and shared her enthusiasm with all. She will be missed by all but held in our hearts forever. Mabel, You are Our Sunshine.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Sept 18, 2010 at 10 a.m. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1233 Northgate Drive, Manteca, CA. Graveside services will follow immediately at the East Union Cemetery, Manteca, CA. Visitation for the public will be held on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Eaton Family Funeral Home 513 12 Street, Modesto, CA.
