Margarite Josephine(Senn) Ott
August 18, 1928 - May 23, 2013

Margarite Josephine (Senn) Ott, age 84, entered into rest on May 23, 2013 in Ione, CA. She was born on August 18, 1928 in Stockton. She was a resident of Ione for seven years and previously resided in Arnold for 40 years. Prior to that, in Manteca for 20 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Leo Ott.
    Margarite is survived by her sons, Walter (Janelle) Ott of Oakdale,  Fred (Susan) Ott of Shingle Springs, Michael (Sally) Ott of Stagecoach, NV, Frank (Karen) Ott of Manteca, and Ernest (Kary) Ott of Murphys. She was blessed with nine grandchildren,  Amber Cosper, Katrina Dillon, Logan Ott, Michael Ott, Steven Ott, John Ott, Robert Ott, Eric Ott, and Micele Ott and 11 great grandchildren. Margarite also leaves behind her brother, Joseph Senn of Murphys.
   Margarite was a homemaker for 65 years. Together with her late husband, Fred, her brother Joseph and her sister-in-law, Agatha Senn, Margarite owned and operated Lake Alpine Lodge and Resort in Alpine County from 1967 to 1977.  She always considered this to be one of the happiest times of her life. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
   Services for Margarite are  under the direction of PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, at 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a Rosary to follow at 4:00 pm at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home. A Mass will be held on Friday, May 31,10:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19399 E. Hwy 120, Ripon. Final resting place will be St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Road, Escalon.
