Ossie Leroy Rose, 83, passed while sleeping into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 7 at 8:30 p.m. Ossie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years Geneva; his mother and father Elbert and Ethel; brothers, J.B. and Ray and sisters, Nancy Caves and Mildred Wilson.

He is survived by his loving daughter Rebecca Dewar of Valley Springs and grandchildren, Megan Wert of Manteca, Andrew Dewar of Owatonna, MN and Kelsey Dewar and Donovan Dewar of Valley Springs. He is also survived by siblings, Nana Jones of Oregon, Norbert Rose of Manteca and Doretha Meeker of Stockton.

Ossie retired from the LOF Glass Plant in Lathrop after 25 years of service and was a licensed Assembly of God Minister.

Services will be held in the chapel at Park View Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca on Friday, August 13, at 3 p.m., with a viewing starting at 2:15 p.m.
