Viola Mae Thomas of Manteca passed away on August 8, 2010 at Doctors Hospital of Manteca at the age of 78. She was born on June 21, 1932 in South Dakota and has been a resident of Manteca for the past 55 years.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer C. Thomas, and her parents, Harold and Pearl Sparks. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Goforth, and her sons, Russ Thomas and Scott Thomas, all of Manteca; her brother Dean Sparks of Modesto; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
At the family’s request, services were private. Contributions to Viola’s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 4600 Roseville Road, Suite 130, Sacramento, CA 95660. Arrangements were handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca.
