STOCKTON – Weston Ranch’s Stephon Nelson pulled in a 20-yard pass Namir Brown-Sanger late in the fourth quarter to avert a shutout Friday as visiting Oakdale ran away with a 49-7 Valley Oak League junior varsity win.
Jesus Gonzales picked up 76 yards on 16 carries for the Cougars.
Brown-Sanger, Aiden Brock and Johnny Ducksworth made four tackles apiece with Brown-Sanger forcing and recovering a fumble. Christopher Butttram and Oscar Fernandez added three stops each.
East Union 53,
Kimball 14
TRACY – Luke Weaver threw for three touchdowns for the Lancers.
Weaver (5 of 8 passing, 136 yards) had touchdown throws of 12 yards to Bryan Howe, 36 yards to Adam Tinnerello and 52 yards to Gannon Anderson. Johntae Maggard (11 carries, 131 yards) scored on a 13-yard run, Gustavo Delgadillo had a 3-yard touchdown run and Kai Ontai scored from 5 yards out. Marcs Brennan added 57 yards on seven carries.
Tinnerello added a touchdown on a 57-yard punt return and Robert Piddock scored on a 35-yard interception return.
East Union’s Adam Jimenez made eight tackles and Zane Salgado tallied two sacks.
Central Catholic 55, Sierra 20
MODESTO – The Timberwolves committed six turnovers and trailed 41-13 at halftime.
Marcelo Morales was the workhorse for Sierra, gaining 150 yards on 13 carries with touchdown runs of 4 and 76 yards. Luke Abrew added a 1-yard scoring plunge.
Josh Martinez made eight tackles for the Timberwolves. Ben Wheeler added seven stops and Jessica Perea made a sack
Ripon 40, Riverbank 0
RIVERBANK – Andre Toledo scored three touchdowns for the Indians in the Trans-Valley League road win.
Toledo (seven carries, 53 yards) had touchdown runs of 3, 5 and 7 yards. Aiden Krupa (three carries, 42 yards; one reception, 30 yards) added a 12-yard touchdown run, Larell Fountain-Gilbert scored on a 34-yard touchdown run and Roman Villalovoz pulled in a 7-yard scoring pass from Trent Vink (3 of 6 passing, 49 yards; five carries, 30 yards.)
Ripon’s Ricardo Ochoa made six tackles and a fumble recovery and Caydon Rainer pulled in an interception.
Freshman
East Union 28, Kimball 0
The Lancers put up 21 fourth-quarter points Thursday at Dino Cunial Field capped by Dylan Lee’s 68-yard interception return for a touchdown.
East Union ground out 318 yards behind a balanced attack. David Flores (10 carries, 93 yards) scored on a 2-yard plunge; Emilio Perez Jr. (eight carries, 68) yards scored on a 4-yard run, Lee (eight carries, 56 yards; 2 of 8 passing, 32 yards) scored on a 10-yard run. Keona Cayode added a 45-yard carry before leaving the game due to injury.
The Lancers allowed the Jaguars just 132 yards of offense. Matthew Mejia and Renald Bacigalupi made 10 stops apiece for East Union, David Flores eight, Aaron Velazquez six and
Anthony Sy three. Seth Baker and Anthony Avelar each made an interception.
Manteca 14, Buhach Colony 0
Andrew Yzaguirre had a 2-yard touchdown run to lead a balanced Buffaloes attack in non-league action at Guss Schmiedt Field.
Luis Rivera, Julian Soto, Colton Stonum, Mason Gibson, Paul Gainesand Ricardo Villavazo and Adrian Rios all contributed to the Manteca offense.
Paul Gains led the Buffaloes defense with eight tackles. Mason Gibson added six stops, Villavazo (interception), Stonum (interception) and Andrew Marshall four each and Xavier  Guerrero (fumble recovery) three.
